Souths thrashed undefeated minor premiers Pennant Hills in the Shires 1st Grade Grand Final. Souths battled hard with the bat, ending up on 210 early on Day 2. Pennant Hills had better bowling and batting conditions, but could only manage 37 in reply. Shane Pargeter took 6 for 24 with Robin Younan taking a hat-trick. Pennant Hills were 5 for 37, losing their last 5 wickets without bothering the scorers.
